My Talented Parents

So mom and dad told me yesterday that for Pioneer Day, they're having the four best singers from each ward in nine different stakes to sing in the tabernacle. One person from our ward that they chose is Trish Packer, who happens to be Boyd K. Packers great niece or something.

They also chose two other people and... my dad! Mom and I were laughing a lot. I dragged him to choir a couple of times so I wouldn't go there alone, and let's just say his voice stands out a bit even though he's quiet. My dad also thinks that it's really funny. We were joking that he'll be sitting behind Pres. Monson and that he'll look behind him while dad's singing and think didn't I say the best singers?

I'm sure dad will do a great job, it was just kinda funny that they chose him. We get to go and support him there and that will just be dandy.

Mom's stil doing her school stuff. She's actually having some people come over for a project soon. She still gets straight A's. I don't get how she does it and she does like 23 credit hours each semester. It's crazy. She loves to explain some of her projects and school stuff to me, even if some of it doesn't make sense. It amazes me how her mind can grasp that so easily. I guess that's why so far I've decided that I'm not going into accounting or any mathy field. We'll see, I've still got a couple of years to decide (thank goodness I do).

I Wish I Was Born Earlier

I am going to really hate this week. My sister and my friends are going to Trek this week, and my guy friends that aren't going to Trek are going to boys' Camp. I'm the only one left home because I'm two months too young to go to Trek, and I'm not a guy no matter what. I hate my grade also because I'm one of the oldest and a lot of people in my grade seem so young and immature to me, ugh. I also can't go to EFY because I'm three weeks too young. I was staring at my planner trying to find what to do this week, but I couldn't think of anything I'm doing this week. Thankfully, Amanda invited me over for a sleepover (Hannah too), so I won't be completely bored. She went to bed early though, so I just got on the computer and that's why I'm posting this past midnight (and my internet at home is super slow right now).
