Going to the Movies

Today, I went to the movies with Ashley and Dad. We saw The Dark Knight. It was so cool! Keith Ledger played the Joker. It's too bad he died, because he was so good in that! The Joker was really interesting, but funny too. The guy who played Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) was in it, too. I didn't even realize it until Dad pointed him out. He had a moustache (different looking moustache than in Harry Potter), glasses, and short hair so it was a bit hard to recognize him.

The movie wasn't scary, it was just intense and had lots of action. One part of it was gross though, and I tensed up a bit when people were about to get shot or blown up. It was really good, and it cusses only twice or something. Nice to see that people are using their brains to come up with different ways to express anger or whatever.

Hannah made a blog today called Hannahgram. She put four posts on today, and put a pictures of Sylvester and a really weird one of Misty on it. She's trying to be cute, but I think some of it is just dumb. Ah well, it's her blog, not mine. I'd give you the URL, but you have to be invited and you won't miss anything if you don't see it. Sorry.

A Little of This, A Little of That

So I got to dog-sit Porthose (Marjorie’s dog which is a black Shih-Tzu and Maltese mix) this past week from Tuesday to Monday. I was so happy! He followed me around everywhere, slept with me, went on walks with me, and sometimes even followed me into the bathroom ;). It was really funny every time I put a leash on him, because he would get super excited and start pulling me and grabbing the leash with his mouth. I was so sad when he left.

For a while, I’ve been working on crocheting a blanket, which has been taking a while (partly because I stopped working on it for a couple of months). It’s getting really big, and I wrapped it around Emma and she fell asleep with it. That’s a good sign.

I’m saving up to buy another ipod. I want more GBs. Mine right now has only 30GB. I wouldn’t mind it, except that I like to put books and movies and TV shows on it. I do have some music (it can hold like 10,000 songs), but I like to have books and shows on it mainly. Ashley is selling her ipod and doing some chores and she’s going to give the money to me. I’ll then give her my ipod, and use her money plus mine to buy me one with 80GBs. I don’t know what I’d do with all of the space if I got 160GBs, and the ipod touch is a waste of money. Wow! You can actually touch it to play songs!! And I’ve already got a phone. I really don’t see why you need a phone where you can touch to do things, play music, take pictures, and record and play videos. I like to have one just to text and to be able to contact people. Taking some pics would be nice though…

Last night, I was in the bathroom washing my face. When I walked out, I looked up at the front door, and I saw this huge streak of lightning. I went outside to the front porch where dad and Hannah were, and sat with them. It was a huge lightning storm, and it was insane. There were big flashes of light all over the sky, and every now and then we would see this huge streak of lightning. We finally went inside when one came really close to us. It was way cool and weird.

Right now, we are watching Fly Away Home. We’ve been watching a bunch of old videos that we haven’t seen in a while. We previously watched A Little Princess, and I love to watch Mulan. It’s fun to look at these movies that we haven’t seen in years.

Monotony

Okay, so for over a week I've been debating whether or not to put on another post. If I did last week, it would go like this:

So today, I listened to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix while drawing faeries from neopets, and yesterday, I did the same thing. The day before yesterday, and the day before the day before yesterday, I did too! And chances are that the day before the day after tomorrow, I will too! Wow, my life is sweet.

It wasn't until a couple of days ago that my monotony ended.

I spent a little time with my friend Sariah after that which was good for me. On Friday night, I got my mom to take us to Blockbuster and we rented Guitar Hero III. I was so happy! Ashley got it for Christmas, and my talented sister managed to break that game along with many others. I've been dying to play. My wrist is going to fall off soon because it hurts really bad after every song I do, as they are all on expert and it goes really fast and your fingers are moving up and down the frets constantly. It's a happy addiction.

Last night, Hannah and I went over to Amanda's house again for a sleepover. At midnight, Amanda went around shouting that it's her birthday. We stayed up watching 'Game Plan' and I think Hannah and I were the only ones that watched the whole thing before going to sleep. The next day, Marjorie took Amanda and I out to lunch at Panda Express for her birthday. After that, we went shopping for some clothes for her. They were way cute. She got a shirt that was buy one get one free, and one of the shirts that she tried on didn't fit her too well, but it fit me so Marjorie got it sinse it was free. She said it's my fourth of July present.

Amanda told me that a member of the bishopric went over to Grandma Joan's house and asked to use the phone. So she went and got it and gave to him, except it was the stapler. Uncle John made up a joke about her and I think this is how it goes:
How did Grandma Joan double pierce her ear?
She answered the stapler.
How did she double pierce the other?
They called back.
Haha, I love Grandma.

I get to watch Porthos while Marjorie's family goes to Washington this week! I really love that dog, and I'm going to take him on a walk every day. He actually loves me too! And to think I used to think he's the devil's dog. Silly me. I love dogs.

Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole. ~Roger Caras

The Fourth of July

Happy Birthday Sariah!

Yesterday morning, we went to the Kaysville parade for the fourth of July with Marjorie and William's family. William's family got there late, so they didn't sit with us. So, we parked to the right of Davis High in some small building's parking lot. Ashley, Mom, and Hannah all ran to the school to get Hannah to where the Davis Cheerleaders were meeting before the parade. Dad, Emma, and I all started walking down the street to find where Marjorie was. We called her and she said that they found a good spot by the library. I thought it was close because I didn't even know where the library was. So, we just kept on walking on the sidewalk past the high school. Yeah, it was a bit farther than I thought.

It was so crowded. People were walking all around us. I got mad because some teenage girls stopped right in front of us. Two of them screamed and hugged each other: Aahh! Oh my gosh! I haven't seen you in forever! Your hair is so cute what did you do to it? I love your shirt! Teenage girly girls really bug me.

So we kept on walking through the crowd while dad was hauling a travel dolly with chairs in it and I had one of those backpacks with wheels full of water bottles and a camera. Dad was getting a bit annoyed of having to move it through all those people. Someone cut across him and he turned it really sharply to get it out of the way for that stupid person, and he accidentally hit Emma on the face with it. We decided to then walk on the side of the road even though I don't think we were supposed to because Emma was crying and we were getting annoyed. We kept on asking Emma what happened later on because she would say, "Daddy hit me" and it was really funny. We eventually trained her to say accidentally.

We walked for over a mile I think (at least it seemed like it). We were near the Kaysville Fire Station (still far from Marjorie) when I looked behind me and saw that sirens were going off and that the parade had begun and we were still walking on the road. I could see the DHS marching band far behind us, so we quickened our pace. Ten minutes later I heard people saying that the parade is at the fire station. I was so relieved when we got there.

After that, I got to stand with Emma during the whole parade and help her get candy. Some of the kids there were vicious. Emma was really slow at getting candy people threw so I helped her. The parade was really fun and we saw Hannah and Chelsie with the Davis cheerleaders. Amanda was in a little golf cart with some friends in the parade too. When the water fight started, Uncle John and I went out and made fun of some of the people and got wet. This one guy threw a bucket of water at us. When we were packing up to go, we poured water from our water bottles on everyone. I love parades.

The Kaysville parade was on the news because two kids got ran over by the floats. One got his leg or foot ran over and another was taken by a helicopter because his stomach was run over.

We went home for a couple of hours after that and cleaned ugh. I also went for the ride when Dad was teaching Ashley how to drive. We went on busy streets (good thing they weren't that busy) and I was really nervous as Ashley got her permit the day before.

We went to Marjorie's house and William's and John Steven's families were both there. We had dinner there.

Ashley got money from Mom and Skyler brought some money so us and Jordan and Amanda all went to Bowman's and got sodas and hung out for a while. When we got home, we watched Animator vs. Animation one and two on youtube and had homemade ice cream. We then went to the Davis High fireworks show. That was fun but I wish it went longer. It seemed too short.

Hannah had a sleepover at Marjorie's and the twins and Mckenna did too. So, I got to sleep with Silvester last night and that was horrible. He scratches you, climbs all over you, and purrs while you're trying to sleep. I kept on pushing him off (sometimes very roughly because it was in the middle of the night) but he just comes back on. Stupid cat.

Fun Family Days

Happy July! And Happy Birthday Stephanie!

The fourth of July is in 3 days, and Chelsie and Hannah are going to be in a parade. Hannah is doing this Cheerleading thing with Chelsie at Davis High School. She needed to take a water bottle today, so I had her bring my Viewmont High School water bottle that I got at basketball camp.
So on Saturday evening, we went to a huge castle park. It looked like a castle and it was huge! Hannah immediately found friends like she always does, and Emma just ran around. Dad and I played catch with my football. I went on the huge tire with Hannah and mom pushed us. Hannah was screaming like she was going to die and begged to get off but I just think she was trying to be cute. After that we got slurpies and visited Marjorie (well she was asleep as it was ten and that's two hours past her bedtime according to mom =O).
On Sunday night, mom dropped off Hannah at Chelsie's for a sleepover, and I was left home to tame the five year old. She was taking a bath, so I went into the bathroom. She was getting out of the tub and I asked her if she washed her hair. She said, "Yes I did, I put that in," and she pointed to the cat shampoo. I immediately smelled her hair, and sure enough, she smelled like our cat, Silvester. I had to wash her hair all over again. She kept telling me that she forgot not to use that one. At least we know that she is now free of ticks, fleas, and lice. I was starting to worry about that. After that, I got the joy of watching Barbie as Rapunzel. That was just amazing.
Yesterday, I went swimming with my friend, Sariah, at Farmington pool. I swear it doesn't matter how much sunscreen I put on, I always get burnt. At least it wasn't as bad as last week.
Later that night, we all watched Spiderwick and had popcorn. Poor Emma was scared. The movie was good even though they skipped over lots of stuff in the book as far as I could tell. After that, we got on mom's computer and looked at a lot of pictures. We saw ones when Misty was still a baby right after we took her in (she was a stray). She looked a lot like her son, Phillip. She also looked weird because her previous owners shaved her and she had a cut on her leg. We saw Misty's birth (gross!), and her kitties. We have ones of when they're a bit older, too.

This one is Snow. We thought she was a guy at first so we named her Eric. She got bitten by a bug so her shoulder was all swollen and she was the runt of the litter.

This was a lot of people's (and my) favorite kitten. This is our only guy, Phillip. He got really wild like the rest of them, but he was also really cuddly and not as hyper. He was the one Ashley and I wanted to keep.

So we have an orange boy cat (along with a bunch of others) who stalks the outside of the house and we've caught Misty with him quite a bit. This cat's name is Giselle. She was the first born, and when we saw the color of her fur, we all growned. Her father is ugly. She's adorable, though.

Ashley says this one is the prettiest, so it's a good thing we named her Belle. She is georgeous, but I think they're all cute.
This one is named Aurora. Her eyes are so pretty, and she's the most crazy (I know this because all of them lived in my room for a couple of weeks). I really miss her and Phillip.

We looked at pictures of when the whole Steven's family went to California two years ago.

There was this one picture that my dad took on Thursday that had us all laughing. It was of Silvester. Dad made a weird noise and he caught the picture right in the middle of his annoying meow. He looks so funny.
He got tons of funny ones of all of us except for Ashley because she was still on Trek. Mom deleted all of the ones of her (which I admit I wouldn't want if it were me, but they were hillarious). We also still had pictures of Hannah's birthday last year. She got a Hannah Montana CD and we had just had cake, so we were a bit crazy. We turned on the music and my sisters and I started dancing all over her room. They are so funny because we are in crazy poses while dancing. We also danced with her old bunny, Floppy.

Today, Hannah woke me up before her, mom, and Emma went to the castle park (they went early so Hannah could go to the cheerleading thing afterward). She told me that mom and dad want my chores done before they get home at 10:30. I just mumbled sure and went back to sleep. So, I woke up a 10:27. I dashed out of bed and did my chores as fast as I could praying that mom wouldn' t come home. I got them done super fast. Yeah, she came home about 1 1/2 hours later . Ugh, I hate it when parents do that.

Now, mom is trying to explain the complex driving booklet to Ashley, because she finally decided to get her permit 5 months before she turns 16. Nice.

Anyway, that was another part of my oh so exciting life.
